The Secretary of Citizen Security (SSC) of Quintana Roo, in collaboration with the #C5 surveillance system and the Municipal Police of Benito Juárez, succeeded in capturing two individuals who were threatening and attacking passersby with a knife in Supermanzana 63 of the municipality of Benito Juárez. The detainees were handed over to the competent authorities.
In the video disseminated by the SSC, a couple threatening a man with knives can be seen near the entrance of a branch of the Federal Electricity Commission (CFE). In response to the threat, the man quickly reacted by getting up. The surveillance cameras captured the moment when the aggressors used the knives near the victim.
The local police of Quintana Roo intervened to prevent the assault and detain the responsible parties. It is worth noting that the individuals were already under surveillance for their criminal activities in the area.
